About fur

At Generations we believe in quality and sustainability: we respect past workmanship even though it may clash with today’s beliefs.

Many of our clients come to us with amazing vintage furs coming from the most reputable fur houses in the world.

This fact only is synonymous with wild furs and not farmed furs.

Those vintage furs have a life span of 80 to a 100 years and their warmth equals to nothing else in the world. Synthetic furs have a much shorter life span and pollute a lot more : nothing’s ideal.

Bearing in mind those facts we refuse to let those beautiful pieces go to waste and try to give them one more life.

We present here the last remaining stock of Benjamin Fourrures, a reputed furrier of Geneva and Lausanne who has now stopped their activities, as well as a selection of vintage fur coats, some of them by Tom Ford for YSL, Christian Dior, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Tigre Royal, among others.

The first ones we want to present are truly iconic. Our favorite is from the last Tom Ford collection for Yves Saint Laurent in FW 2004.

A deep rust colored mink coat with a burgundy fox collar, a removable purple python belt and velvet knot embellishments.

The second one is a Jean-Paul Gaultier Fourrures coat with a plissé soleil back in mink and black silk jersey.

We hope you will appreciate the workmanship and understand our point of view.
